Coffee Bar Manager

We are looking for a Coffee bar manager to oversee the Baristas and  to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. The responsibilities includes educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders

 

Responsibilities

Performance of the essential functions of this position requires the team member to possess the minimum qualifications listed below. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
  • Prepare beverages following recipes
  • Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
  • Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
  • Keep the bar area clean
  • Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
  • Reports to the store manager
  • Oversee staff
  • Recruit and train new staff
  • Creates barista's schedule
  • Built sales and profit by executing sales strategies
  • Profit and loss responsibility, including shrink and related cost controls 
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, rules and safety requirements. 

The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
  • Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
  • Knowledge of sanitation regulations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales builder and profit orientated 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language.

  • Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies.
  • Dress and groom according to Company policy including uniform, name badge and hat or hair restraint requirements.  
  • Complete all applicable department training programs.
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
  • Work overtime as assigned.
Salary15.00 - 17.00 Hour
